ANNOUNCEMENTS

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!

Many of you may be considering buying a pool this year.  Prices have gone down a lot on those "Blow-Up" pools.  BE WARNED!   The Statewide Building Code requires a permit AND inspections on any pool that contains more than 24 inches of water.  This means that all those inexpensive above ground blow-up or vinyl pools will require a permit.  In addition to this permit, there are very strict regulations regarding pools.  One of the biggest that concerns those about to purchase one of these vinyl pools is that most of the vinyl pools have walls that are 42 inches high.  This means that a FENCE will need to be installed around this pool, along with a self latching gate.  BEFORE you purchase ANY above ground pool, please stop by the Borough Office and pick up a Pool Packet.  This packet outlines all the regulations, fees, and an application for the permit.  Failure to obtain the proper permits and inspections may result in a considerable fine as well as an order for the pool to be taken down.

NOTICE...

With the fall season just around the corner the chances for high water increase, especially in the month of September.  For all those residents that have property along any of the waterways and streams, please check your property to make sure that the streams, creeks and waterways are clear from any obstructions.  This includes any trees or branches that may have fallen during the summer.  A blockage in the waterway may cause considerable problems should a high water event occur.

Montgomery was established in 1887 so we do have a proud history and a rich past. It is an amazing past for sure. Our community is proud for many good reasons.

From President George Washington (whose body guard is buried right here in Montgomery), to President Abraham Lincoln, you can understand the pride we feel from our past.

At the bottom of this page are some photos of our great town.  We hope you get a chance to stop by sometime and visit in person.

“Growing Toward Tomorrow” is our slogan and is so true. As you surf our web site the pride will hit you. On that note, all I have to say is Thank You for stopping by and please visit often. If you ever get to visit our great town, I’d be happy to meet you.
